Tripax Engineering in conjunction with Butler Market Gardens have developed a new washer for the efficient washing of whole heads and bunched products.

The washer uses a variable speed conveyor belt through a washing tunnel incorporating a shower head and then a series of spray heads that can be placed and controlled to wash the most delicate through to the hardiest of products efficiently and successfully.

Testing, trials and finally commissioning took place at Butler Market Gardens to fine tune the system during production.

The project was helped with a grant from the smart water fund due to the water saving systems designed into the washer.

With water conservation becoming a real concern for growers and processors the new design washers help to address the problem and offer our customers the best solutions available anywhere in the world.
