A self-supporting pedestal design complete with a peeling disc that rotates anti-clockwise and is directly driven by an electric induction motor. By holding the pumpkin segments firmly with two hands the operator can apply the peel surface against the peeling disc area. Whilst working the skin segment against the rotating disc you will notice the peel cutting away very quickly and easily, there is no need for pressing the product hard against the rotating disc, as the peel is easily removed.
The peel waste is discharged from underneath via its waste chute and a clear polycarbonate shroud is provided to prevent product from being sprayed toward the operator. There is a water hose connection at the top of the shroud to utilise whilst running to assist with washing the peeling disc and wheel. The peeler is quiet and smooth running and requires near to no maintenance. The peeler body and components are constructed from 304 stainless steel with a glass beaded finish. The disc wheel is cast aluminium, and this is easily removed as is the disc to the wheel. Spare peeling discs are readily available on request.
